Responsibilities

- Prepare pipe for installation including beveling, installations of retainers, mastic, etc. - Safely rig pipe and structures for lifting and placement in ditch. - Lay water lines, storm water lines, sanitary lines, and other underground utilities. - Perform a variety of tasks involving physical labor such as raking, shoveling, hooking up pumps, installing pipe, mixing concrete, carrying materials, throwing sod, seeding, etc. - Operate hand and power tools. - Work under various field and weather conditions. - Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb, kneel, bend, twist, push, and pull. - Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per safety manual and OSHA regulations. - Work weekends if requested by the Foreman. - Communicate effectively with the Foreman. - Must have reliable transportation to transport oneself to the jobsites. - Jobsites range from 10 to 80 miles in one direction.
