PIM - Steel Welder Apprentice

About the role

We are seeking a Welder / Laborer / Apprentice to be trained in using specialized equipment for steel fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Understands and performs welding processes to repair and fabricate equipment.
• Sets up equipment according to function and application.
• Reads tape measure and cuts materials from cut lists.
• Fulfills instructions given by the supervisor to complete tasks safely.
• Adheres to all company and customer care standards.
• Carefully cares for and advocates for safety at Precision Industrial Manufacturing.
• Complies with all applicable safety policies, procedures, and standards.
• May assist in training and support PIM's programs, projects, and initiatives.
• Supports PIM's vision, mission, and values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Skills

• Working on feet for a minimum of eight hours a day.
• Ability to perform basic math and measuring calculations.
• Successfully completes all required and on-the-job training on time.
• Safely operates overhead cranes and various lifting devices.
• Experience with welding tools and procedures is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with TIG, MIG, and Stick welding methods.
• Hand tool proficiency.
• High level of safety consciousness.
