About the role
The Pilot is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and provides an exceptional service experience for NetJets Owners and passengers. The role involves managing various aspects of flight operations, in-flight services, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Operate the aircraft safely according to FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual, and SOPs.
- Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, introduce them, brief them on the flight, verify itineraries, and provide weather updates and safety briefings.
- Handle in-flight service including alcohol service and catering.
- Load and properly stow baggage as needed.
- Handle flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
- Act as the final authority on the aircraft regarding safety and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate with Owners/passengers throughout the flight and coordinate with NetJets staff.
- Report any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the MCC Controller.
Requirements
- FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or equivalent certification with multi-engine rating.
- At least 21 years of age.
- 1,500 hours total flight time or 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate, 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours cross-country flight time.
- 250 hours fixed-wing PIC.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time.
- ATP written completed prior to Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Valid passport.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel internationally without restriction.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate varying hours, including day and night, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to manage rest and prepare for flight duty.
- Ability to work in different time zones and extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to secure airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Pass TSA background screening and obtain airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Valid United States passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Valid State driver's license.
- Fluency in English for reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
- Service-oriented appearance and ability to make a positive impression.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions, paying close attention to detail.
- Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to work around animals, including handling and caring for them before, during, and after Owner flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Qualifications
- Education: Relevant aviation degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 1,500 hours total flight time or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Proficiency in aircraft systems, navigation, and emergency procedures.
- Knowledge: Understanding of FAA regulations, NetJets policies, and customer service principles.
