Pilot
Purpose and Scope
This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Aviation in the transportation of company officials, customers and passengers on the company owned aircraft in a cost-effective manner which is in compliance with FAA standards. This position is also responsible for assisting with aircraft maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Assist the Director of Aviation in operating the company aircraft in a safe, cost-effective manner in compliance with FAA standards
- Assist the Director of Aviation with pre- and post-flight preparation including assessment of weather conditions as well as aircraft readiness
- Responsible for chart updates and replacements
- Assist in the cost-effective use of the company aircraft through safe and efficient scheduling
- Perform regular aircraft preventative maintenance including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and general cleaning
- Upgrade and maintain aviation knowledge and skills through ongoing education and certification
- Assist the Flight Department Manager with all administrative requirements associated with the use and maintenance to the corporate aircraft including preparation of flight logs and records, FAA correspondence, policies and procedures
- Maintain aircraft hangar facility as required to ensure security and inventory of needed supplies
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with aircraft run ups if asked while maintenance performs required checks
Education and Experience
- Associates degree in a related field
- 250 total flight hours on applicable aircraft type
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Multi-engine Commercial Pilot Certification
- Class II FAA Medical Certificate
- FCC Radio Telephone License
- Current Passport
- Ability to travel 75%
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds into and out of aircraft
- Valid drivers license
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform aircraft inspections
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role will not have supervisory responsibilities
