About the role
The VP & General Manager is responsible for driving short and long-term organization goals for profitable international business growth and brand value. They will develop and lead strategic plans that align with the company's strategy, vision, brand, and values.
Responsibilities
- Interfaces with key customers and opinion leaders to develop and maintain customer loyalty.
- Develops and leads comprehensive short and long-term product and global market strategies.
- Collaborates and leads the Sales, Engineering, and Operational implementation of business and product development initiatives.
- Reviews and approves specific initiatives requiring capital expenditures to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Develops, oversees, and manages key strategic and operational activities to ensure continuous innovation, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met or exceeded.
- Manages the performance of direct-report teams through key performance indicator checkpoints, contingency plan activities, and monthly status updates.
- Champions and stewards the company's strategy, vision, and values; provides financial and non-financial analysis, recommendations, and direction for targeted business goal achievement.
- Participates in and provides accurate planning data to Corporate through forecasts, budgets, and P&L inputs.
- Collaborates with Sales leadership to align operations with the sales forecast; analyzes Sales & Operational results to ensure appropriate measures are taken to resolve problematic situations and achieve promised results.
Requirements
- Education: MBA in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field; BS degree in a related field with proven leadership and management expertise may be considered.
- Experience: 7 + years of progressive senior business and leadership experience within an international mid- to large size manufacturing organization, selling capital equipment, industrial agriculture equipment, or similar products through a dealer network.
- Certification(s): Not applicable.
- Functional Skills: Excellent strategic, organizational planning and executing skills; strong analytical skills with financial planning/cost containment experience; experience in formulating and leading Key Performance Indicators and contingency plans.
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Excellent Microsoft Office skillset; ability to learn and use in-house ERP systems - Oracle.
- Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interacts with key customers, dealers, opinion leaders, and all levels of the organization.
