Pickleball Program Coordinator
About the Role
Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club, located in St. George, UT, is seeking a driven Pickleball Program Coordinator to lead and grow a dynamic pickleball program. This role operates under the leadership of the Director of Fitness and focuses on creating a welcoming, energetic atmosphere through open play, leagues, social events, and tournaments for players of all skill levels. The position promotes high-level hospitality, enhances member experience, and manages all racquet activities at this exclusive, members-only private club.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute pickleball open play, leagues, social events, and tournaments for players of all skill levels to foster engagement and build community.
- Administer all areas and functions of the tennis and pickleball programs, including social events, classes, clinics, lessons, training, special events, and tournaments.
- Execute daily operations of the Club’s racquet program, including opening and closing procedures.
- Assist members with court reservations, lesson registrations, and program inquiries.
- Implement and maintain excellent racquet service and manage member relationships to achieve exceptional satisfaction.
- Perform administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, returning messages, and general correspondence.
- Manage the care, maintenance, and cleanliness of outdoor courts and related equipment.
- Work with members, the Wellness Committee, and the Director of Fitness to implement and adjust policies and procedures.
- Evaluate racquet program performance, address complaints, and resolve problems.
- Coordinate with teaching professionals, front desk, weekend supervisors, fitness trainers, and spa therapists to achieve member service objectives.
- Respond to time-sensitive member queries and incident responses while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Keep online calendars, bulletin boards, and other communication tools up to date.
- Promote and support racquet social events, lessons, clinics, leagues, camps, and tournaments.
- Enforce guest policies and support Wellness Center programming.
- Perform other duties as required and take self-initiated actions to support the team culture.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (AA) in Physical Education or related field; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- USAPA certification (or equivalent).
- AED, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a private club environment.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Service-driven, highly organized, and knowledgeable in racquet sports.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for interacting with members, leadership, departments, and vendors.
- Independent thinker with strong time management skills to handle changing priorities and schedules.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to self-start.
- Friendly, outgoing, and passionate about pickleball.
- Strong work ethic and ability to use diplomacy when handling member complaints.
Physical Demands
- Frequently talks, hears, uses hands, reaches with hands and arms, stands, walks, climbs, balances, stoops, and kneels.
- Occasionally sits, crouches, crawls, tastes, or smells.
- Occasionally lifts up to 45 pounds.
- Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions with moderate noise levels.
