About the Role

Pulls merchandise from stock to fulfill high-volume Business Center orders. Operates manual pallet jacks, packs cooler and freezer items, and loads delivery trucks while adhering to safety and performance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load items onto flat carts and/or pallets and transport them using a manual pallet jack.
• Pack cooler and freezer items in designated coolers.
• Operate a pallet jack to load delivery trucks.
• Follow Picking department procedures for duties and paperwork.
• Lift pallets from low stacks and move them with a manual pallet jack.
• Observe safety and security procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
• Inspect manual pallet jacks and pallets, tagging any with defects.
• Obtain pick tickets from the control desk and scan them using a wearable hand scanner to identify item locations and quantities.
• Transport pallets through the warehouse and select items from floor stock to assemble orders.
• Verify each pulled item for correctness, quantity, and condition.
• Request forklift assistance for large-quantity orders to retrieve full pallets from steel shelves.
• Maintain safety by spotting for forklift drivers to keep people out of fall danger zones.
• Enter quantity or weight of each pulled item into the wearable hand scanner and note approved substitutions or out-of-stock items.
• Move approved completed orders onto trucks for delivery using a manual pallet jack.
• Assist in other areas as needed.
