About the role

Select lumber grades and lengths in accordance with ‘pick’ lists provided by truss technicians to ensure saws are able to continually cut lumber by performing the following duties:

• Read pick list to determine items to be moved or gathered.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to saw or to other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials into designated area according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distribute items to production workers or assembly line.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping department.

Requirements

• Up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
