About the role

Taylor Robinson Music is seeking private music instructors, particularly for piano lessons. We offer flexible lesson options including in-person sessions at the student's home, in the instructor's home or studio, or via webcam.

Responsibilities

  • Teach piano lessons to students in the Rosedale, MD area
  • Set your own schedule and curriculum
  • Communicate regularly with the office
  • Be organized and punctual for all lessons

Requirements

  • Great with kids and passionate about teaching
  • Must have either a degree in music, be enrolled in a music program, have professional performing experience, or have previous teaching experience

Qualifications

  • Flexible to teach in-person or via webcam
  • Willing to travel to students in the Rosedale, MD area if needed
  • Experience with online teaching platforms (webcam)

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manage lesson plans
  • Knowledge of music theory and pedagogy

Benefits

  • Independent contractor pay between $20-$30 per hour
  • No commute required for in-person lessons

  • Light workload due to company handling billing and student management

Pay

You will be paid on an independent contractor basis between $20-$30 per hour, depending on travel time, your experience/education, and your student retention rate.
