About the role

St. Anthony Catholic High School, a private, college preparatory High school for young men and women, is seeking a full-time Physics/Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Position may teach levels of 9th-12th grade. All teachers are expected to teach within the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and our Core Values of Honesty & Integrity; Community; Service & Social Justice; Scholarship; and Holistic Education. The Physics/Science Teacher reports to the School Principal.

St. Anthony Catholic High School prepares young men and women for positions of responsibility and leadership through a college preparatory curriculum based on Catholic values and traditions.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Teach physics and science to 9th-12th grade students
  • Provide additional tutorials or study sessions with students outside the regular school day
  • Address learning differences through differentiated instruction
  • Work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Learn and use interactive technologies to enhance learning

Requirements

  • Proficient knowledge of science curriculum and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Successful completion of VIRTUS and background check
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Bachelor's Degree in Education with a minimum of 24 college credit hours in science or related field
  • At least six (6) months of direct teaching or student teaching experience at the high school level
  • Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree, AP certification, Teacher certification in relevant area(s)

  • Ability to learn and use interactive technologies to enhance learning

Benefits and Work Environment

Work Hours: Mon to Fri 7:30 am-4:00 pm (see faculty handbook). Some night and weekend work dependent on student activity sponsorship and special events such as Open House.

Physical Demands: Typical for faculty in this discipline.

Salary: $47,000 and commensurate with experience.
