About the Role

We're looking for physics graduates and students to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your deep understanding of physical systems, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving will directly shape how AI tackles some of the hardest scientific questions — making a real impact on the future of intelligent systems. This is a fully remote, flexible contract — work on your own schedule while contributing to frontier AI research alongside leading labs.

Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Responsibilities

  • Design challenging, rigorous physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more
  • Develop detailed, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate clear and accurate reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated physics responses for correctness, logic, and depth
  • Identify gaps or errors in AI reasoning and provide structured, actionable feedback
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop and refine benchmarks from undergraduate through Masters level

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
  • Strong command of advanced physics concepts and mathematical problem-solving
  • Able to communicate complex reasoning clearly and precisely in writing
  • Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating solutions
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
  • No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience in academic tutoring, research, or technical writing
  • Familiarity with data annotation, evaluation systems, or quality assessment workflows
  • Exposure to computational or applied physics methods

Benefits

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top-tier research labs and AI organizations
  • Fully remote and flexible — set your own schedule and work from anywhere
  • Freelance perks: high autonomy, variety of problems, and global collaboration
  • Directly influence how AI reasons through complex scientific challenges
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract renewals as new projects launch
