Physicist - Oncology

About the role

Genie Healthcare is seeking a Physicist to join their team in the Oncology department for a 12.86 week travel assignment in Jackson, MS. The position will be on a Shift that consists of 5 days of 8-hour shifts starting at 07:00:00 and ending at 15:00:00.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize radiation therapy treatment plans
• Collaborate with medical physicists, radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
• Participate in quality assurance activities

Requirements

• M.D. or Ph.D. in Physics or related field
• Current registration as a Medical Physicist in the state of Mississippi
• Experience in radiation therapy physics
• Knowledge of relevant software and equipment

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Proficiency in radiation therapy physics software
• Understanding of radiation oncology principles
• Good organizational and time management skills
