About the role

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute are actively recruiting a Wound Care Specialist at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. This position will be responsible for both inpatient and outpatient wound services including wound consults and treating patients in the clinic. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Our multidisciplinary wound care team offers a comprehensive approach to treating wounds. No call requirements, hours of operation Monday - Friday, no weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient treatment of wounds.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Support the multidisciplinary wound care team.
• Travel to additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania as needed.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for state medical license.
• Completed internal medicine or family medicine residency program.
• Board certified / eligible.
