Physician - Urologic Oncology - Full Time Academic

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center at Shreveport seeks a full-time BC/BE Urologist, Fellowship trained Urologic Oncology to expand its full-time clinical faculty. Must be BE/BC in Urology and eligible for LA Medical license.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities include patient care, resident education, and medical student education.
• Clinical duties and responsibilities rotate among our tertiary Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Academic Medical Center and two affiliated teaching institutions.
• Several da Vinci surgical systems (including a dual-console unit) are available for patient care and resident training.
• The successful applicant will join several full-time faculty members in a fully accredited Urology Residency Training Program.

Requirements

Must be BC/BE in Urology and eligible for LA Medical license.

Qualifications

• Fellowship trained in Urologic Oncology.
• Completed residency in Urology.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to teach and mentor residents and medical students.
• Knowledge of current urologic oncology practices and treatments.
