Physician - Urgent Care - Casual (PRN) - Appleton, WI

About the role

The Children’s Wisconsin Appleton urgent care clinic is seeking a pediatrician to provide appropriate acute pediatric care services. This position also involves maintaining and complying with all OSHA standards to ensure clinic compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute pediatric care services
• Maintain and comply with all OSHA standards

Requirements

• Current licensure to practice medicine in the State of Wisconsin
• Current malpractice insurance at a level of $400,000/$1,000,000 as well as participation in the Patient Compensation Fund
• Current DEA number
• ABP (American Board of Pediatrics) eligibility or ABP certification
• CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross
• CHW medical staff membership in the Department of Medicine with core privileges in pediatrics or CHW pediatric PL3
• Demonstrated proficiency in skills necessary to manage urgent care patients
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physically and mentally able to perform all patient care duties
• Good medical record documentation skills
• Demonstrated ability and interest in teaching
• Able to lift/carry 20 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally and push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Able to occasionally reach overhead and frequently squat/bend/kneel and regularly stand, walk and move about

Qualifications

• One of the following certifications/licenses: N/A, BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Health & Safety Association, License DO (21) - State of Wisconsin, License MD-Medical Doctor (20) - State of Wisconsin, License MD-Medical Doctor (320) - State of Wisconsin
