About the Role

The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking a Transplant Pulmonologist to join a team dedicated to expanding a thriving lung transplant program. Responsibilities

  • Providing inpatient care for patients in the UK Lung Transplant program
  • Evaluation of patients for lung transplant listing both inpatient and outpatient
  • Outpatient post-transplant care
  • Teaching of University of Kentucky medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Participation in patient-oriented research in the areas of advanced lung diseases and lung transplantation

Requirements

  • M.D/D.O. or equivalent
  • Eligible for a Kentucky Medical License
  • Completion of an accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship
  • BE/BC in both Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine
  • Lung transplant fellowship or equivalent experience in the care of pre and post lung transplant patients

Qualifications

  • AABIP board certified/eligible
  • Pulmonary/Critical Care board certified/eligible
  • Internal Medicine board certified
