About the role
Ochsner Health System in New Orleans is searching for a full time Transplant Pulmonologist to join their lung transplant program. The successful candidate will provide high-level care for lung transplant patients, including pre-transplant evaluation, peri and post-operative care, bronchoscopy and other bedside procedures, and long-term follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical management of lung transplant patients
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Conduct bronchoscopy and other bedside procedures
- Support research and academic activities
- Teach and mentor fellows and residents
- Collaborate with the Ochsner Advanced Lung Disease Clinic
Requirements
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Pulmonary Medicine
- At least 12 months experience in all aspects of medical management of lung transplant patients
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Skills
- Strong clinical skills
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage a high volume caseload
- Experience with Epic medical record platform
