Physician - Surgical Bariatrics

Role Overview

This position is for a BE/BC Obesity Medicine Physician to join a comprehensive weight-management program, working closely with surgical and family medicine departments to deliver optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across departments to provide both surgical and non-surgical weight-management options
• Support development and maintenance of bariatric services
• Manage pre- and post-surgical patients
• Engage in education and research

• Foster multidisciplinary relationships
• Increase community awareness
• Identify growth opportunities
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

• MD or DO degree, with preferred fellowship and experience managing obesity patients
• Board Certification in Family Medicine preferred
• AZ medical license or eligibility
• ABOM certification or eligibility
• Strong interest in academic medicine
