Physician - Obesity Medicine (Bariatrician)

Desired Requirements

• ABOM (American Board of Obesity Medicine) certification
• MD or DO with active Indiana medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Strong clinical background in obesity medicine and medical weight management
• Knowledge of pre- and post-operative medical management for bariatric surgery patients
• Familiarity with accreditation standards and quality improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical weight management services, including evaluation, treatment planning, and ongoing care
• Collaborate with bariatric surgeons and clinical team members to deliver coordinated care
• Manage pre-operative optimization and post-operative medical follow-up for surgical patients
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement activities
• Contribute to maintaining MBSAQIP accreditation standards
