Clinical Obesity Medicine Physician

Responsibilities

Provide direct outpatient care for patients with obesity and obesity related conditions.

Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that incorporate behavioral, nutritional, pharmacologic, and bariatric surgical therapies.

Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team that includes other specialists, dietitians, psychologists, exercise physiologist, and surgeons.

Contribute to program development, quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, community outreach, and educational activities.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have ABIM or ABFM certification.
  • Have obesity training, ideally with fellowship training and board certification in obesity medicine from the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
  • Be eligible for a medical license in the State of Utah.

  • Commensurate with training and experience academic faculty appointment.
