About the role
Bronson LakeView Family Care - Bangor is currently seeking a board certified/eligible Family Medicine Physician to join their established family medicine practice.
Responsibilities
- See full spectrum family practice patient's
- Candidate will work alongside one APP
- No OB or inpatient medicine opportunity
- Hospital-employed, outpatient only position
- Works with the physician to create a schedule to offer appointments as early as 7:00 am or as late as 7 pm at least one day a week
- Team Approach with Ambulatory Care Manager, social worker, Pharmacist as well as nurse triage
- Full-time with flexible scheduling
Requirements
- BC/BE in Family Medicine
- Current and Unrestricted State Medical License as MD/DO and DEA Licensure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate and quality patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Medical degree and 2 years of direct or intern experience required
- Current Medical License in the state of Michigan
- Current DEA and DPS Certificate
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette
- Performs in a tactful and professional manner
Skills
- Diagnosing illnesses and prescribing as well as administering treatment for patients suffering from disease or illness
- Examining patients in addition to obtaining medical histories
- Ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Counseling patients regarding preventive healthcare, hygiene and diet
- Ordering studies, test and ancillary services
- Documenting all services in patient medical record
- Reviewing on a regular basis long term cases that require ongoing medical attention
- Consults with Medical Director and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and education issues
- Participates in process improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by the hospital or clinic requirements
- Oversees mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff
- Aids in the resolution of complaints, requests and inquiries from patients
