About the role
Bronson Rheumatology Specialists has an immediate need for a BC/BE Rheumatologist in their established Rheumatology practice in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Required to see patients in the clinic, M-F and participate in an equitable practice call rotation with very limited inpatient consultations.
- Work alongside four physicians and 1 APP.
- Hospital-employed, full-time with flexible scheduling.
- Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating of clinical patients in order to meet their medical needs.
- Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic tests in addition to counseling patients regarding preventive healthcare, hygiene and diet.
- Works in a supportive and collaborative work environment.
- Responsible for final medical judgment in all issues of health care.
- Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients.
- Orders studies, test and ancillary services.
- Documents all services in patient medical record.
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations.
Requirements
- BC/BE Fellowship Trained in Rheumatology.
- Current unrestricted or pending Licensure in the state of Michigan.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and quality patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Medical degree and 2 years of direct or intern experience required.
- Current Medical License in the state of Michigan.
- Current DEA and DPS Certificate of Registration.
- Maintain all requirements for medical staff privileges.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
- Performs in a tactful and professional manner.
