Physician - Rheumatologist

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Rheumatologist to join our team. Positions are available in Baton Rouge, LA, Covington, LA, Lafayette, LA, Lake Charles, LA, New Orleans, Slidell, LA and Meridian, MS.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert medical care to patients with rheumatic diseases
• Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based treatment plans
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases
• Engage in research and contribute to the advancement of rheumatology knowledge

Requirements

• MD/DO degree
• Current license to practice medicine in the state(s) of employment
• Completion of an accredited ACGME/ACGME-approved residency program in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics
• Successful completion of a board certification in Rheumatology

Qualifications

• Experience in managing complex rheumatologic conditions
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
