Physician Relations & Patient Experience Specialist

Build relationships, improve patient care, and make a difference at Northwest Eye Surgeons. This role serves as the bridge between our specialists, referring providers, and patients across our Mount Vernon, Bellingham, and Smokey Point locations.

About the role

In this highly visible position, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships with referring providers, collaborate across teams, and ensure every referred patient experiences seamless, concierge-level care from referral to follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Develop trusted relationships with referring physicians and their office teams.
• Visit provider offices, educate referral partners, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
• Guide patients through the referral process, removing barriers and ensuring timely access to care.
• Coordinate communication between providers, patients, and our clinical teams.
• Ensure referring physicians receive timely updates, consultation notes, and operative reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and elevate the referral experience.
• Serve as the voice of both our providers and patients by sharing feedback that drives continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Three or more years of healthcare experience, preferably working with physician offices, referrals, patient navigation, or customer service.
• Experience building professional relationships and coordinating across multiple departments.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with EMRs, CRM systems, or referral management software is a plus.
• Ophthalmology or specialty practice experience is preferred but not required.

Pay

$32 - $38 hourly.
