About the role
The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health Care System's Diagnostic Imaging Service is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologist at the Lake City VA Clinic.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the achievement of quality care standards and the growth of a VA academic hospital program
- Demonstrate good organizational skills and leadership in a patient-centered program
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and visitors
- Perform general diagnostic radiology skills including radiography, fluoroscopy, US, CT, NM, and MRI
- Present and participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and conferences
- Teach and supervise residents and fellows
- Provide consultations with referring clinical services
- Supervise the administration of medications, including contrast agents, by technologists and/or nurses
- Work a flexible schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Requirements

Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an approved school
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
- Completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs
- Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and visitors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

Salary range is competitive and includes an annual performance bonus.
