About the role

The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health Care System's Diagnostic Imaging Service is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologist at the Lake City VA Clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the achievement of quality care standards and the growth of a VA academic hospital program
  • Demonstrate good organizational skills and leadership in a patient-centered program
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and visitors
  • Perform general diagnostic radiology skills including radiography, fluoroscopy, US, CT, NM, and MRI
  • Present and participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and conferences
  • Teach and supervise residents and fellows
  • Provide consultations with referring clinical services
  • Supervise the administration of medications, including contrast agents, by technologists and/or nurses
  • Work a flexible schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Requirements

Qualifications

  • United States Citizenship
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an approved school
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
  • Completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs
  • Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and visitors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

Pay
