About the role

Diagnostic Radiologist needed to provide onsite coverage on an as-needed basis. Ideal practice for work/life balance! Typical workday is 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. No call, no weekends. Fantastic location to call home. Solo radiology practice in a smaller community where your expertise is sought after and valued, with consultation support from a nearby group of 16 radiologists in Duluth, Minnesota (about 1.5 hours west of Ashland). Ashland is a progressive small town on the south shore of Lake Superior, 70 miles east of Duluth, MN; 200 miles northeast of Minneapolis/St. Paul; 300 miles northwest of Madison. Population 9,000; regional service area 64,000. Live in town and walk to work, or find an affordable dream house on one of hundreds of nearby lakes. Sail or motor to the nearby Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Cultural activities abound including summer music festivals and a thriving local artist community. Year‑round outdoor enthusiast playground with excellent hunting and fishing, nearby cross‑country and downhill skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, and snowmobiling trails.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite diagnostic radiology coverage on an as‑needed basis.

Requirements

• Excellent general radiology skills – including mammography, stereotactic biopsies, and procedures in fluoroscopy and ultrasound.
• Basic general interventional capability including paracentesis and thoracentesis.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) in Radiology.
• Current licensure/certification to practice radiology.

Pay

$250 per hour. Hired candidates may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production‑based compensation.
