Physician Pulmonology (With Critical Care)

Job Summary

Treats diseases of the lungs and airways. Diagnoses and treats cancer, pneumonia, pleurisy, asthma, occupational diseases, bronchitis, sleep disorders, emphysema and other complex disorders of the lungs. Greater than 50% of the physician’s time is spent in a critical or intensive care setting.

Job Duties

• Interviews patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.
• Performs and/or interprets diagnostic tests as needed.
• Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness.
• Prescribes or administers medications.
• Prepares, maintains, and reviews records that include patients' histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.

• Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.

• Certification(s) and License(s): Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania.
