PHYSICIAN - Program Director - Internal Medicine Residency

New Internal Medicine residency program with an independent not-for-profit health system at a Level 2 Trauma Center in southwest Georgia – Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Engage in ongoing current clinical activity (inpatient or outpatient)
• Demonstrate scholarly activity in research, education, patient care/population, QI, creation of curricula or education materials, didactic educational activities, or contribution to professional committees, education organizations, or editorial boards
• Teach and mentor residents with a strong interest in education
• Commit to quality, patient safety, and evidence-based clinical care
• Work collaboratively as a team member

Requirements

• Board Certified by ABIM or AOBIM with MD or DO medical degree
• Minimum 3 years of educational and/or administrative experience as a core faculty member, associate program director, or medical student clerkship director

Qualifications

• Board certification or Board eligibility as defined by medical staff at the health system facility, per employment/IC agreement, managed care plans, and other credentialing entities for Phoebe providers

Pay

• $300k base salary with RVU and incentive bonus structure
• $75k sign-on bonus, CME, and relocation allowance
