Physician Practice Manager III
About the role
We're looking for a dedicated Physician Practice Manager to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
Practice Operations: Responsible for the daily oversight, assignment, and monitoring of all clerical, clinical, administrative, and secretarial tasks among staff. Audits patient registration, tracks patient flow, verifies system data entry for accuracy and timeliness, and resolves operational issues and patient complaints.
Financial Management: Reviews billing information for variations and patterns, conducts spot audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, ensures charge capture for inpatient and outpatient billing, and responds to inquiries for additional documentation.
Physician Relations: Interacts on a routine basis with physicians and mid-level providers to ensure their practice business needs are being met, and ensures effective communication between practice staff and office staff.
Human Resources Management: Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, evaluation, development, and discipline of staff, reviews and approves staff time to ensure timely and accurate payroll, conducts annual evaluations of staff competency as appropriate, and addresses performance issues in a timely and thorough manner. Consults with human resources as needed to ensure understanding and compliance with human resource policies.
Compliance: Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, interacts with appropriate hospital staff to ensure consistency in provision of care, develops and implements effective and efficient work standards, procedures, and personnel requirements consistent with organizational policy; JCAHO; local, state, and federal requirements and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
Associates degree in related field required with at least five (5) years minimum in physician practice or health-related setting, three (3) years in a supervisory role.
High school diploma or GED with at least ten (10) years of progressive supervisory experience in a physician practice may be considered.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold a bachelor's or master's degree.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards.
Knowledge of all aspects of physician practice management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
At least ten (10) years of progressive supervisory experience in a physician practice or health-related setting.
Skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR).

$80,000 - $105,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
