Physician - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
About the role
The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) is seeking a physiatrist for a full-time faculty position with training and interest in inpatient rehabilitation at a free-standing, community-based rehabilitation hospital.
This individual will be hired at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor (tenure or non-tenure track) based on experience. Additionally, faculty members are tasked with delivering lectures to PM&R residents and students, as well as participating in scheduled Grand Rounds sessions, contributing to the academic and professional development of the medical community.
Responsibilities
- Special interest in medical management of rehabilitation needs for patients during inpatient rehabilitation including medically complex, neurologic and orthopedic diagnoses
- Collaborate with referring services and other departments as appropriate to ensure transitions across the continuum of care
- Establish a community-based consultation service at other locations as appropriate
- Provide care in ambulatory clinics for general and/or neurologic physiatry patients
Requirements
MD or DO Board Eligible/Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Eligible for medical licensure in Missouri and Kansas
