Physician - Pediatric Hospitalist - Grosse Pointe
About the role
The new physician will provide comprehensive care for well newborns and those in the nursery, managing conditions such as hypoglycemia, mild respiratory distress/hypoxia, intensive phototherapy, and infection workups. They will also care for patients aged 12 years and older admitted to the hospital, attend deliveries, perform neonatal resuscitation, and occasionally consult in the emergency department. The position involves faculty appointments through Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, hospital employment with great benefits, and opportunities for professional development and scholarly activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-house coverage 24/7, rotating shifts including Day and Night Shifts
- Work 14 shifts (12 hours each) per month
- Opportunity to work additional shifts for additional income if desired
- Facilitate quality improvement, clinical protocol creation, and other scholarly activities

- BE/BC Pediatrics
- Unrestricted License and DEA - Michigan

Pay
Full Time Position: 1.0 FTE, 14 shifts (12 hours each) per month including Day and Night Shifts to provide 24/7 in-house coverage.
