Responsibilities
- Consult all Pediatric ER cases when requested and all cases as per hospital policies.
- Aid in other areas in the hospital (pediatric unit, OR's etc.) as needed.
- Attend all pediatric educational activities (Grand Rounds, etc.) and skill sessions as required by Department of Pediatrics.
- Must be a positive role model for nurses, and students.
- Work with the department to develop strong positive ties with patients and their families, private attending staff and surgeons.
- May assist neonatologists in clinical activities when workloads in nurseries require additional support (and primary care responsibilities are completed or well covered by other personnel).
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency Program
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics within 2 years of onset of employment
- Valid New Jersey medical license (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- DEA & NJ CDS registrations
- AHA or American Red Cross BLS & PALS certification
Qualifications
