About the role

Ochsner Children's Hospital is seeking a pediatric cardiologist to lead their Pediatric Heart Failure/Heart Transplant Program in New Orleans, LA. The position involves caring for patients with various heart conditions, including cardiomyopathies, heart failure, transplant, congenital heart disease, and ventricular assist devices. The successful candidate will join a team of two heart failure/heart transplant cardiologists and a newly hired heart failure/transplant physician assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients with cardiomyopathies, heart failure, transplant, congenital heart disease, and ventricular assist devices.
  • Teach Tulane-Ochsner pediatric residents and medical students, and University of Queensland medical students.
  • Participate in research and contribute to multi-center studies and trials.
  • Utilize AI technology for physician inbox messages and real-time physician notes in clinics.

Requirements

  • BC/BE in pediatric cardiology.
  • Completed an advanced fellowship in pediatric heart failure/heart transplant or minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.

Qualifications

  • Board certification in pediatric cardiology.
  • Experience in pediatric heart failure/heart transplant.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to teach medical students and residents.

Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of AI technology and its integration in healthcare.
