Physician – Pediatric Endocrinology- PRN
About the role
The St. John Children’s Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatric Endocrinologist to join their growing Pediatric Subspecialty Division. This is an employed position consisting of approximately 90% dedicated clinical time and 10% teaching and academic time with Pediatric Residents and Medical Students.
Responsibilities
- Mix of outpatient consultations and longitudinal endocrinology care
- Shared inpatient consult coverage on a rotational basis
- Manage a wide range of endocrine conditions including Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, thyroid disorders, growth and puberty disorders, adrenal and pituitary conditions, and obesity-related metabolic disorders
- Join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team consisting of Pediatric Endocrinologists, Certified Diabetes Educators, Dietitians, and Pediatric Nurses
- Outpatient clinic is open Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship program
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology
Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest or experience in resident and medical student teaching is highly desirable
- Interest or experience in clinical research, QI projects, or subspecialty program development is a plus
