Physician - Palliative Care

About the role

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Palliative Care (Internal or Family Medicine) Physician to join their team at Franciscan Health Dyer and Franciscan Health Munster.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical excellence and compassionate patient care.
• Develop strong ties with the community and build long-lasting relationships with colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and advanced practice providers to coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Strong focus on clinical excellence and compassionate patient care.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative working style with a team of specialists.
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Doctorate - Required.
• Physician License (MD/DO) - Upon Hire Required.
• Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required.

Schedule

Average outpatient volume: 5 - 6 patients per week.

Average inpatient volume: 6 patients per day.

Full-time schedule; average of 2 clinic days per week depending on volume.

Rotating weeknights and weekend call for inpatient only: 1:4.
