Physician Palliative Care

Position Summary

The physician has the responsibility of providing diagnoses and treatment to the spectrum of cases that present to the physician based on the physician’s area of specialty. This will include patients normally seen in an acute care clinic or primary physician’s office but will usually not include longitudinal care.

Experience Position Qualifications

  • Current or recent experience in Palliative Medicine or Hospice is preferred.
  • New graduates will be considered.

Education

  • Graduate of an approved medical school is required.
  • Successful completion of residency training in an ACGME accredited program is required.
  • Successful completion of fellowship program in Palliative Medicine/Hospice is required.

Certification/Licensure

  • Board Certified/Eligible by the Oregon State Board of Medical Examiners (OSBME).
  • MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine).
  • BLS certified from American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.
