About the role
The Department of Neurology seeks a full-time BE/BC Movement Disorder Neurologist. The successful candidate will join a team of three movement disorder neurologists and two functional neurosurgeons, contributing to interprofessional programs for HiFU, NPH, fast-track-to-DBS, and advanced care for Parkinson’s and functional neurological disorders.
This position is primarily outpatient, with no more than four weeks of inpatient service annually. Faculty rank at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care, accurate diagnoses, and state-of-the-art treatment for movement disorders
- Participate in clinical trials and outcomes research
- Engage in translational research and teaching of medical and graduate students, as well as residents
- Collaborate with an interprofessional team, including neurosurgeons, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and rehabilitation therapists, to address healthcare disparities
Requirements
- Completion of a residency in Neurology
- Completion of a fellowship in Movement Disorders
- Board eligibility or certification in Movement Disorders
- Interest in research (clinical trials, outcomes, or translational) and teaching

Pay
The minimum base salary for this position is $215,462. The final base compensation may vary based on factors such as specialization, experience, leadership roles, education, certifications, productivity, skills, geographic location, internal equity, and budget considerations.
