About the role

We are seeking a PM&R physician to deliver expert brain-injury and rehabilitation care at the Intrepid Spirit Center, Womack Army Medical Center. You will lead individualized rehab plans across physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, neuropsychology, and social work — serving as the clinical anchor for an interdisciplinary team supporting Soldiers and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert PM&R evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment, including brain-injury rehab plans
  • Prescribe and coordinate physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, neuropsychology, and social work services
  • Perform and interpret EMG and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) studies; order prosthetics, orthotics, and rehab equipment
  • Teach and consult with physicians and therapists
  • Document care in MHS Genesis within three business days and respond to patient messages within one business day

Requirements

  • Education & Training: M.D., D.O., or equivalent from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school; completed an ACGME- or AOA-accredited internship and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Certifications & Licensure: Current BLS; Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABPMR); active, unrestricted state medical license; 10-digit NPI matching the Fort Bragg practice location; DEA registration if prescribing controlled substances
  • Experience: At least two years of direct patient care within the past five years, with privileges in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Other Requirements: U.S. citizenship (or eligibility to work on a federal military installation); able to maintain an acceptable Tier III security investigation and obtain a CAC for installation access; up-to-date immunizations, TB screening, and facility health requirements
