Physician - Ophthalmology
About the role
MaineHealth Ophthalmology is looking for a physician to join in a regional capacity for their thriving Brunswick and Damariscotta practices. The hired candidate would be providing high quality, comprehensive adult ophthalmologic care including but not limited to: cataract surgery, medical glaucoma and retina management including laser procedures and intravitreal injections, and minor lid surgery. This role also offers potential for blended pediatric caseload.
Schedule & volume
- This is a full-time position
- Clinical volume consists of approximately 60-70 office visits and 10 surgeries per week
- Regional call responsibilities shared amongst the team
Qualifications
- MD or DO with board certification in Ophthalmology
- Licensed, or eligible for Maine state medical licensure
- Experience in both clinical and surgical ophthalmology
- Strong commitment to patient care and collaborative practice
