Physician - Oncologist

Duties

The incumbent will provide consultative evaluations and treatments to patients referred from other sections of the hospital and affiliated VA outpatient clinics and perform administrative functions and other tasks as assigned by the Associate Chief of Staff of Acute Medical Service. The practitioner provides consultative series on patients referred from other sections of the hospital and affiliated outpatient clinics as well as providing emergency hematology/oncology services as assigned or designated.

Requirements

• Must possess a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
• Must have completed residency training or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
• Must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an LCME-accredited medical school or an osteopathic medical school approved by COCA.
• Licensure and Registration

Pay and Benefits

• Salary: $300,000 - $385,000 per year
• Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time off per year
