Physician - Oculoplastic Surgeon

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible ophthalmologist with ASOPRS fellowship training in oculoplastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery. The physician would be joining a seasoned & busy oculoplastic surgeon who performs functional and cosmetic surgery. The position includes medical student and ophthalmology resident teaching responsibilities in the Department of Ophthalmology. Clinical research is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Performing functional and cosmetic surgery
• Teaching medical students and ophthalmology residents
• Engaging in clinical research (encouraged)

Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana
• Completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency program
• Completion of a fellowship in oculoplastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery

• Ability to teach and mentor medical students and residents
