About the role
Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible ophthalmologist with ASOPRS fellowship training in oculoplastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery. The physician would be joining a seasoned & busy oculoplastic surgeon who performs functional and cosmetic surgery. The position includes medical student and ophthalmology resident teaching responsibilities in the Department of Ophthalmology. Clinical research is encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Performing functional and cosmetic surgery
- Teaching medical students and ophthalmology residents
- Engaging in clinical research (encouraged)
Requirements
The successful candidate must have:
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana
- Completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency program
- Completion of a fellowship in oculoplastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery
