About the role

The Saban Community Clinic is seeking a skilled OB/GYN physician to join our dynamic team. We are committed to providing affordable, quality healthcare to everyone, regardless of income or immigration status.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-scope OB/GYN care, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecologic, and preventive health services.
  • Conduct well-woman exams, contraceptive counseling, fertility evaluations, and menopause management.
  • Diagnose and treat reproductive system disorders, infections, and other related conditions.
  • Perform gynecologic procedures, including Pap smears, colposcopies, IUD insertions and removals, endometrial biopsies, and minor office-based surgical procedures.
  • Conduct physical examinations; determine and implement courses of treatment; monitor results of treatment and adjust as needed.
  • Proactively assist patients and families through all facets of accessing care at the Clinic and elsewhere, serving as a resource to resolve patient and family concerns.
  • Participate in improving the quality of care, including participation in peer review, setting clinical standards for medical support staff, and monitoring the quality of medical services to patients.
  • Carefully coordinate medical care with internal and external medical specialties as needed.
  • Document all patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow evidence-based guidelines and clinic protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
  • Place and remove Nexplanon.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Valid, unrestricted medical license in California.
  • DEA registration and current BLS certification.
  • Minimum 2+ years of OB/GYN experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a community clinic, FQHC, or underserved population preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and procedural skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural humility.
