Physician - Non Invasive Cardiologist - Mercy Hospital Springfield Missouri

About the role

Mercy is seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join their busy and nationally recognized structural heart program at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. The practice is currently supported by 16 cardiologists (7 non-invasive, 5 interventional, 4 EP's) and Nurse Practitioners. The hospital is an 887-bed tertiary referral center with 700+ physicians serving a catchment area of 2 million lives. It features state-of-the-art heart hospital facilities including 4 cath labs, 2 EP labs, and 1 hybrid operating room. The structural heart program offers TAVR, Mitral Clip, and LAAO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Pick practice type (Inpatient Service, Clinic Only, or 7on/7off schedule)
• Flexibility to choose practice type
• Call 1:6 ratio
• Work in a mix of inpatient and outpatient settings within the same practice location
• Collaborate with advanced practitioner support services
• Participate in a system-wide electronic medical record (EPIC)

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
• Experience in non-invasive cardiology preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current Missouri Medical License
• Passing score on the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) Step 2
