About the role
Sanford USD Medical Center is seeking a BE/BC Nocturnal Internal Medicine Hospitalist physician to join its Hospitalist group of 50+. Employed Physician Model; smooth transition of Physician-to-Physician hand-off; 11 shifts/month; flexible scheduling; hours: 12‑hr block shift; weekly rounder and admitter shifts; 24/7 in‑house intensivist support; energetic group & supportive administration; EMR is EPIC throughout all Sanford locations; teaching opportunities with medical students and residents; no procedures required.
Responsibilities
- Provide nocturnal internal medicine hospitalist care
- Perform weekly rounding and admission duties
- Ensure smooth physician‑to‑physician hand‑off
- Work with 24/7 in‑house intensivist support
- Contribute to teaching of medical students and residents
Requirements
- Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) in Internal Medicine
- Eligible for medical licensure in South Dakota (or willingness to obtain)
