Physician Neurosurgeon

About the role

As a Level II Trauma center, ANMC represents over 30 medical specialties and serves as the tertiary referral center for Alaska Native and American Indian people from across the state. Joining the Neurosurgery team means managing a combination of outpatient clinics, inpatient consults, and field clinics throughout Alaska.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of patients with neurological conditions
  • Collaborate with other specialists and support staff to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and education
  • Contribute to research initiatives related to neurosurgical care

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Board certification in Neurosurgery
  • Current license to practice medicine in Alaska
  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to remote and challenging fieldwork environments

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday 7:30am - 4:30 pm
