Physician - Neurointensivist

About the role

We are seeking a Neurointensivist to join an established team at RiverBend Neuro ICU, part of the Comprehensive Stroke Center. The position provides 24-hour coverage at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend, serving a large rural catchment area including southwest Oregon, coastal Oregon, and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 12-hour Neurointensivist shifts and cover the remaining 12 hours of the 24-hour shift.
• Support a dedicated 12-bed Neurocritical Care Unit.
• Work in a Level II trauma center with a focus on individualized patient care and safety.
• Participate in a 5 on 5 off schedule.
• Work in a location that offers a variety of recreational activities such as biking, walking, running, fishing, and visiting local art centers.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology or Neurosurgery.
• Experience in Neurocritical Care or Stroke Management preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex cases.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Current license to practice medicine in the state of Oregon.

Skills

• Expertise in Neurological Disorders.
