Physician Medical Director

About the Role

Concentra is seeking a Physician - Medical Director for our Waukesha, WI location. This clinic-based position blends direct patient care with leadership in healthcare management, offering an opportunity to work in a family-like environment backed by a large organization. The role focuses primarily on clinical treatment, with the remainder dedicated to quality improvements and business development alongside the Center Leadership Team.

Scope of Practice: Occupational Health + Urgent Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, leading by example to create an exceptional patient experience.
• Lead healthcare management to ensure day-to-day execution of the medical model, collaborating with therapists and specialists to drive optimal clinical outcomes and case closure.
• Manage clinicians and support staff, complying with APC supervisory requirements.
• Create a professional and collaborative working environment.
• Identify and implement changes to ensure continuous medical clinic improvement in partnership with leaders.
• Maintain relationships with center clients and payers.
• Work with the medical clinic leadership team to manage clinical and support staffing levels.
• Promote, cultivate, and exemplify Concentra values for all clinic colleagues.
• Foster an environment of collaboration, professionalism, patient/colleague safety, quality care, continuous improvement, and reward and recognition.
• Demonstrate financial awareness and provide input to clinic budget and key business metrics.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted medical license.
• Unrestricted DEA license and dispensing license for the state of jurisdiction (required prior to start date).
• Eligibility to participate in Medicare.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in an ABMS or AOA recognized specialty preferred.
• FMCSA NRCME certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.

Pay

• Competitive base salary with annual merit increase opportunity.
