Physician Maternal Fetal Medicine - PRN
About the role
This is a PRN position based at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, a 375 bed Level II trauma center.
The position includes outpatient clinic and some call duties which can be mostly taken from home.
Procedures include cerclages, amniocentesis with CVS and fetal echocardiogram.
The group delivers 0-4 babies per month.
There is 24/7 anesthesia coverage as well as OB hospitalist coverage for OB triage, OB emergencies and ED calls.
St. Joseph Medical Center has a level III NICU capable of caring for infants as young as 22 weeks. We also have a partnership with Seattle Children’s for specialty newborn care if needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group.
- Diagnose and treat a wide array of women’s health cases, making a significant impact on their lives and families.
- Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Practice high quality, evidence based, and patient centered medicine.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN with MFM subspecialty certification
- Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship training
- Active or eligible license in the state of Washington
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families
Qualifications
