Job Requirements

The University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC) is seeking a dedicated, skilled, and collaborative OB/GYN Laborist to join their growing Women’s Health team in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Schedule & FTE

This position is offered at 0.9 FTE (full-time equivalent) with a defined, predictable schedule that supports both clinical coverage needs and work-life balance. Additional shifts may be available based on department needs and candidate interest, subject to operational requirements and mutual agreement.

What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive hospital-based obstetric care, including labor management and delivery coverage
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage obstetric patients in a high-acuity inpatient setting
• Collaborate closely with physicians, certified nurse midwives, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Perform emergency obstetric procedures as needed
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care
• Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and clinical excellence

Pay

Laborist – $150/hr (traditional)
