Physician - Interventional Cardiology (TMH)
West Virginia University Health System, the state’s largest health system and largest private employer, comprises 18 hospitals throughout the state and bordering states. In addition, it includes five institutes, as well as providing management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements.
About the role
The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek an Interventional Cardiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice in South Charleston, WV. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.
Responsibilities
- Practice in the areas of general and interventional cardiology.
- Provide excellent patient care.
- Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
- Eligible for state medical license.
- Completed an interventional cardiology fellowship program.
- Board certified/eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
